Colony leaders urged to enforce orders

Dimapur Municipal Council Administrator, H. Atokhe Aye on Monday urged upon colony chairmen and leaders to strictly enforce regulations and other orders passed by them or other competent authorities for the betterment of the society.  

He was speaking as the guest of honour at the Dimapur Urban Colony Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) general meeting in Dimapur.  

“You should see that any regulations passed by the colony are strictly enforced,” he told the gathered colony chairmen and secretaries while emphasizing on sanitation aspect.  

He lauded the outgoing DUCCF team for thier achievements and encouraged the new team to carry forward the legacy and work with renewed zeal.  

“If you have been able to achieve anything as a leader, then you need to thank God and if you have failed as a leader then you need to introspect and retrospect where the fault lay,” he told the colony leaders.  

Reminding about a resolution between the DMC and DUCCF on earlier occasion to collect Rs 30 as Residential Sanitation Tax per household, Atokhe appealed the public to cooperate with the Municipal.  

“I will deliver and improve sanitation standard and for which I need the support and cooperation of the public and leaders,” he appealed.  

He also appreciated the Kevijau and other colonies for coming forward with financial and material contributions for taking up various developmental works. Atokhe said the DMC continues to be more encouraged by such nature of support and cooperation.   During the programme, the general and audit report were also presented.  

Assistant Pastor, DABA, Imnatoshi Longkumer said the dedicatory prayer for the new team of DUCCF.
