Combined training camp for Air NCC concludes

Dimapur, July 15 (MExN): The Combined Annual Training Camp of Nagaland Air Sqn NCC concluded on July 13.   The camp was inaugurated on July 4 with an aim to impart military training, sense of discipline, team spirit and motivate the cadets to take part in social service and community development activities, a PIB (defence) release stated. The cadets were taught about tent pitching, drill, given weapon training, firing practice and aero modelling training, the release informed, adding various sports activities and games competitions were also conducted.  

During the camp, guest lectures were delivered by Sarita Yadav, IAS, SDO (C) Peren, Vishal Chauhan, IPS, ACP, Dimapur, Dr C Tetseo, District Program Officer, NTCP on various aspects. The cadets also took a rally to the adjacent villages of the training venue (Pilgrim School) to create awareness on the ill effects of tobacco consumption. The cadets were also taken on a visit to Rangapahar garrison to show the specifications and flying capabilities of Chetak and Cheetah Helicopters. They also visited 155 Bn CRPF, Bokajan for a weapon display of small arms held with the Battalion, the release informed.
