Concern Candidate, wish you well for intending to contest for the upcoming election 2018. Very proud of you taking a big bold responsibility to show your concerns for the people of Nagaland. Had I been in your shoes, I would be trembling with nervousness. Yet you did not show any of the weaknesses, fighting tooth and nails of your plans and strategies. But when you do so, please do not forget the principles and ideologies to be carried out once you are in the chair as the representative of the people. Keep very clear in mind that you are going to humble down to be a ‘Public Servant’. Do take a pause and have look around you, look at the people who choose you to represent them. You will find infinite ways to contribute for a better Nagaland.   Of course, we can’t change history but only the part, that’s in the past. Remember it’s the history we are making and that interest’s me. Remember Scott Stilling about Commitment, “My commitment increases my level of energy, my energy increases my level of action, my action increases my level of success, my success increases my level of commitment”. Whoever said, it’s not whether you win or lose that counts, probably lost- its competition. Make it happen when you have the chance and opportunity because sometimes there is no time, no second chance, no time out, sometimes...it’s now or never.

Give effort to the spirit to win and the will to excel is always measure by one strike at a time. To be a winner, you will have to risk all; you may need to give all you have, doesn’t necessarily materialistic but your will to a better governance. The reward of sincere resolve is highs money can never buy. Try to focus 5% on your Prayer, focus 95% in your ‘Faith’ in God, yourself and your fellow man because team work is the fuel that allows common people to produce uncommon results. An optimist and pessimist can arrive at the same destination in life but when you focus on your goals keep your head and your heart in the right directions, you will never have to worry about your feet.

Take a step which is less travelled, create opportunities to all; young or old, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, not necessarily employment in government but in the private too. Learn to practise and live in a democratic society with the oppositions, but do not rejoice for an opposition less government. You have a problem you can solve? That’s not actually a problem but it’s an opportunity. You have a problem you can’t solve? Remember that is an even greater opportunity says The Duckman. Do not be selfish in your motives because we only live once. When you lay down waiting to die, do not regret for the guilt conscious which cannot be re-done but rejoice with humility that you have lived, represented well and fought a good fight. Win our hearts. Today is your first day of the best of your life. To the world you might be one person, but what if to one person you are the world?

Neil Armstrong “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. Represent us well.
