Coordination meet held

Dimapur, July 9 (MExN): The District level Coordination Meeting among the Link Workers Scheme, ICTC and STI counsellors and DAPCU, Mon was held on July 8 at CMO, Office Chamber. The meeting begun with introductory speech by Longyim Tzudir, DPO,DAPCU, Mon.  Asongla, District Resource Person (Programme), LWS briefed on the Link Workers Scheme and emphasised on building linkages and referrals to trace out the defaulters and motivate them to access health care facilities, informed a press note.
The note stated that Dr.Marlles Degroove, MSF, Medical Focal Point and Accoe Kirsten, MSF, Midwife also highlighted about their activities. The need to strengthen linkages and referrals among all the partner NGOs and Health Care Providers and to conduct advocacy programme on HIV and AIDS at sub division level under Mon district through Legislators Forum on AIDS support were discussed in the meeting. Also, Longyim Tzudir while acknowledging the service providers, he also requested all those who are working in the field of HIV and AIDS to be more sincere so as to bring a positive outcome. The next Coordination meeting among the NGOs working in the field of HIV and AIDS and Health Care Providers under CMO, Mon was tentatively fixed on the 2nd week of August. The participants include Mongnyei Konyak, ICTC Supervisor, Mon, Phangnon Konyak, Chief functionary, Walo Org, ICTC counsellors under Mon district, the note stated.
