KOHIMA, JUNE 5 (MExN): The Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) Committee on 2 lane road construction under Phek district led by its convener Vaprümü Demo along with members inspected the undergoing works from Pfutsero to Phek from May 31 to June 1 and had several meetings with the village leaders.
It has come to notice from the village leaders that some genuine land owners were skip off from the purview of damaged compensation and in the process hindering for continuation of work progress. In this regard, the Committee had a consultative meeting with DC Phek and apprised him to verify the locations so as to compensate the genuine claimants for the smooth execution of the project in the district.
The Committee acknowledged the cooperation of the villages towards the success of the project.
The Committee requested the contractors to cooperate with the locals while executing the work.
It also informed the contractors to maintain strict dumping site so as to avert massive damages to the valley side.
The CPO committee urged the contractors to strictly follow ROW as per DPR as there will be no compromization on quality of work and timely completion of work.
The Committee requested the general public to extend full cooperation and be aware of any untoward threats or any form of illegal collections in the process of the ongoing work.
