CRPO extends deadline to post SDO (C) in Chizami

Phek, October 22 (MExN): With regard to its open letter to the Commissioner, Nagaland regarding posting of SDO (C) to Chizami published on October 3, Chizami Range Public Organization (CRPO) has extended the ultimatum deadline to November 10, 2017.

The deadline was extended in respect of an appeal made by the DC Phek and SDO(C) Pfütsero, stated a press release from Welhipe Chiero, president and Mekhalo Lohe, general secretary of CRPO.

The CRPO had a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Phek, Kovi Meyase and the SDO (C) Pfütsero, Dr. Diana Patton, on October 16 at DB's Court, Chizami. The meeting was attended by the CRPO Executives, Chizami Range VCCs and GBs, Chizami Town Ad-hoc Committee members and public leaders.

The CRPO appreciated the DC for taking keen interest to help the public with regard to the issue. The CRPO further appealed to the public to bear the inconveniences until a new SDO (C) is posted for Chizami sub-divisional HQ.

In the open letter, CRPO had highlighted that the public of Chizami subdivision are suffering from “untold misery” due to the absence of SDO (C) since the transfer of the last one on June 17, 2017. It had appealed to the authority concerned to post SDO (C) at Chizami sub-divisional HQ on or before October 20, 2017.
