CSUD celebrates 29th Freshers Day

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 23 (MExN): The Chakhesang Students' Union Dimapur (CSUD) celebrate its 29th Freshers Day cum Social Gathering with a theme ‘Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow’ at Western Chakhesang Hoho conference Hall, Chakhesang colony, Dimapur.  

Speaking as a Guest Speaker Rozelle Mero, Managing Director, The People Channel asserted that education needs to be skill oriented learning, a mere degree will not decide the future, one has to get real field experience by exploring more. She stressed that "a person is learning today through experience and that learning is leading the people tomorrow".  

"Be accountable of your mistakes, its okay to make mistakes, you are learning from it, but don’t repeat the same mistake,” she said.  

The Guest Speaker also encouraged the students to adopt the habit of learning how to work without depending on others and do things by themselves.  

Further she advice the students "to accept where you belong.” “You have a reason to be where you are today. Stop criticizing yourself of your backgrounds.”  

Dietho Rhakho, President Western Chakhesang hoho, in his exhortation encouraged the students to partake in quality education by involving more in ocial activities. He asserted that a student must be a useful citizen in the society. He encouraged the students to be more outspoken, adopt the culture of taking the opportunities, and try to work more with students from different community.  

During the programme three outstanding achievements were honored—Vekuduto Khusoh, a gold medalist in B. Sc Botany; Lhiwe-ii Khape, top 11 in HSLC result declared in the year 2018; and Nuvosalu Sapu, Winner of Miss fitness, Miss Dimapur 2018.
