CURE Clubfoot Nagaland completes five years

Kohima, September 30 (MExN): CURE International India programme in Nagaland started in September 2012 and a MoU was signed with the Department of Health and Family Welfare on March 5, 2013. On September 28, the CURE Clubfoot Nagaland completed its 5th Year at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima.  

Tiarenla Jamir, State Programme co-ordinator, CURE International India in a press release stated that the programme was graced by Dr. Botoholi, Secretary Education and Communication NBCC. The HoD Dr. Gwalozu Thong (Ortho.Dept, NHAK) welcomed the people who attended the programme and gave a glimpse about the Clubfoot programme in Nagaland.  

Few parents shared their experiences and journey with the Clubfoot deformity and how CURE International India, Doctors, Hospital Authority and the Health Department have rendered their service in the whole process of the treatment. Dr. Visietsolie Vupru, District Hospital Dimapur concluded with a vote of thanks.  

CURE International India, a National Voluntary Health Care Organization which is committed to eradicate disability caused by clubfoot in India has extended its programme of treating children born with clubfoot deformity in 29 states in India. More than 38000 children enrolled for free treatment in CURE clubfoot clinics in India. CURE aims at bringing changes and a new hope in the lives of many children and their families.
