Dimapur, November 8 (MExN): The Dimapur Ao Youth Organization (DAYO) today condemned the statement of the WC (NNPGs) targeting individuals who are representatives of tribal apex bodies under Naga Council.
It stated that they were “designated leaders mandated on behalf of the citizens of Dimapur who are also customers that end up paying all the added taxes imposed by different groups.”
DAYO President Aotemsu Aier and General Secretary S Pangertoshi in a press release reasoned that when one talks about development and employment in the state, no investors or companies would want to investment in a land where there is “unabated taxation on top of paying GST.”
As the custodian of law and order, DAYO held that the state government should ensure “against such outrageous press statement, suo moto case should be filed against the accused.”
Civil bodies and the tribal apex bodies that has facilitated and given consent to the NNPGs for the Naga solution should come out clear “whether they also endorse such provocative statements,” it stated.
Asserting that every right thinking citizens should condemn such reckless statements, DAYO assured full cooperation to PAC and in case of any eventualities, it affirmed to “stand shoulder to shoulder with PAC.”
