DC Dimapur discusses land compensation with Sirhima Village

Dimapur, January 23 (MExN): A meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Dimapur Anoop Khinchi, IAS to discuss on the land compensation of Sirhima Village on January 21. 


The meeting was attended by Chakhroma Pubic Organization (CPO), Netseyi and Hieme clan of Khonoma and Mezoma, listed beneficiaries and RoviIato Mor, IAS Principal Secretary R&B, Government of Nagaland. 


Representatives of Netseyi and Hieme & CPO and Sirhima Village shared their views and opinions on the issue of land compensation, as per a press release issued by DC, Dimapur Anoop Khinchi, IAS.


The Village Council of Sirhima stated that issuance of No Objection Certificate to the Paddy fields (terrace field) may be considered. Rovilato Mar also conveyed the concern of the Government regarding the BG Railway Project in Nagaland which is being hampered due to the land compensation issue and that the Government is looking forward to a positive outcome on the meeting.


After thorough deliberation, the stakeholders unanimously agreed that the BG Railway project should continue unhampered at Sirhima Village, and members present further agreed to extend their full co-operation for its success, the release said.


The house further decided to set up a committee consisting of Additional Deputy Commissioner Medziphema, Revenue Officer Dimapur, District Land Record & Survey Officer, GB, Chairman & representatives of Sirhima Village Council and CPO to finalize the beneficiary list according to the present Right of Way (RoW) and in consultation with the claimants.
