Mon, February 3 (DIPR): The Mon District Planning & Development Board meeting was held at DC’s conference hall on January 17 under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Mon Dinesh Kumar, IAS.
The chairman while welcoming the members present, announced to the members about the 2nd Phase of Census population which would be taken up from February 9 to 28 with a revision round from March 1 to 5. In this connection he asked all the Census Charge Officers and the Master Trainers of the district to impart proper training to the Supervisors and the Enumerators to enable them to list accurate population.
The Chairman also directed the verification committee of LADP to conduct physical verification and report to him for necessary action. He also informed about the IPPI campaign in the district and directed the administrative officers, DPRO and the Health & Family Welfare Department to give wide publicity to the mass to avail polio drop to all children below 5 years of age. The DC also reiterated to submit quarterly financial report and asked all head of offices that have not submitted to submit without fail at the earliest.
District Horticulture Officer (DHO), Mon, Pongti Konyak presented his departmental activities implemented in the district. Later after the meeting the members chalk out the programme and necessary arrangement for celebration of Republic Day 2011. DPDB members, Principal/Head Masters of all schools under Mon and representatives from NGOs attended the meeting
