DDGBA resolve to check illegal immigrant influx

Dimapur, October 7 (MExN): The Dimapur District GB Association (DDGBA) held emergency meeting on October 7 where the members present expressed concern over the illegal immigrant influx especially in Dimapur.  

The house resolved to stop issuing ‘Residential Certificate’ without the National Registration certificate (NRC) and other necessary authentic documents. In this regard, all the house owners are appealed to verify thoroughly or report to their respective GBs before keeping tenant in their houses.  

The members of the house also felt the important of maintaining Inner Line Permit (ILP) in Dimapur like in other districts of Nagaland and mend the gates, namely New field police gate, Burma camp police check post, Delai police check post and also Train station and Airport.  

It resolved to appeal the Government to take up initiative regarding the collapsed Bridge between Sohio village and Kuhuboto village which is the only lifeline for the surrounding Areas.  

The meeting also resolved to inform all the eight (8) administrative Units of DDGBA to strictly implement as per the Deputy Commissioner’s directives to flush out the illegal immigrants within their respective jurisdiction.
