Kohima, October 17 (MExN): The department of Information and Technology & Communication, Nagaland conducted a co-ordination meeting with various stakeholders for a special drive to give immediate facelift to the state capital in view of the approaching festive season. The initiative was taken to clean up unwanted information and communication related accessories such as telephone wires, telephone posts, TV cables, overhead OFC cables etc in the state capital slated to be completed before November 15.
A press release from the office of the Commissioner and Secretary of Department of Information Technology & Communication informed that all telephone overhead wires hanging here and there along the main road in the State capital will be removed by BSNL. All TV cable operators and Telecom service providers will also remove all kinds of overhead cables hanging along the main road in the State capital and relocate them to appropriate locations. All the related information where immediate action is required will be collected and shared through various medium of electronic communications under the banner of, “lnfo-Clean Kohima” and there will be a weekly co-ordination meeting to review and monitor the progress of the works. It has also all telecom providers to improve mobile service during the festive season.
