KBS’s “Descendants of the Sun” received the Grand Prize at the Korea Communications Commission Broadcasting Awards 2017. This award show was held on March 20, and around 300 people attended the event, including governmental workers and broadcast industry representatives. A total of 338 works were evaluated for this award show, and the Grand Prize went to “Descendants of the Sun.” This drama was rated highly for its perfection in script, acting skills, the message of peace and devotion in humankind, and explosive popularity as a pre-produced drama. Other dramas that received awards include tvN’s “Goblin” and “Signal” for creativity and cultural aspects, respectively. JTBC’s “Abnormal Summit” also received an award for diversity.
