Designated crossings along Dimapur-Chümoukedima 4-lane road identified

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 14 (MExN): As a follow up to the directive from the Nagaland Chief Secretary, Dimapur Police has identified median cuts/ designated crossings along the four-lane stretch of New Dhansiri Bridge, Purana Bazar to Patkai Bridge, Chümoukedima. 

A press note issued by the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur informed that for this purpose, a joint spot verification was conducted by Dimapur Traffic Police along with stake holders involved in the construction of the four-lane road. 

Following the verification, the following locations has been selected as proposed median cuts/designated crossings along the four-lane stretch- Zion Hospital Junction, Toluvi Junction / Hollohon Petrol Pump, Hollotoli School / Naharbari Junction, Aoyimti Junction / Darogapathar Village Gate, 3rd Mile / Nagarjan Junction, Airport Junction, Diphupar Village Gate, Central Jail / Agri-Expo, Green Park Junction, Sovima Village Gate, 7th Mile / Sukhovi Junction, Chümoukedima 2nd Gate and Chümoukedima 1st Gate / Police Complex. 

In this connection, the Dimapur police has informed all concerned that w.e.f January 20 onwards, only the designated crossings will be used for crossing over to the other lane and all other temporary earth filling will be removed. Dimapur Traffic Police will be implementing the new regulation in a phased manner starting from Purana Bazaar, it added.
