‘DGC becoming pride of people’

Additional Director of Higher Education, Kuholi Chishi who is also the former Principal of Dimapur Government College (DGC) has maintained that the College was becoming a pride of the people with significant strides it was taking in imparting education, infrastructural development, contribution of the Alumni and well wishers.  

Speaking after inaugurating twin gate coinciding with the College foundation day on Monday, Kuholi said that DGC was no longer an ordinary institution but an accredited college. She lauded the Alumni Association DGC for their immense support to the institution by constructing the twin gates and in other ways as well.  

The former Principal urged upon the gathering to pay tributes to the pioneers of the College for envisioning a future and expressed delight that the alumni were living the dreams of the pioneers.  

“People have not despised the small lamp lit by the pioneers and it continues to brighten the corners,” she pointed out.  

Kuholi expressed the hope that the present students would emulate the alumni in extending support towards the progress of the college.  

Stating that no educated person can be called unemployed, Kuholi urged upon students to contribute their part and continue to be an inspiration.  

The Additional Director assured her support and cooperation to the Alumni Association and the College in observing the golden jubilee celebration later this year.  

Principal DGC, Ngangshikokba also inaugurated another gate of the College prior to the formal programme which was attended by the alumni, faculty, students and well wishers.
