DHS Longleng conducts health camp

Longleng, March 13 (MExN): The District Health Society Longleng conducted a ‘Special Women’s Health Camp’ in commemoration of International Women’s Day from March 10 to 12 at District Hospital Longleng.
A press release from the office of the National Rural Health Mission (NHM) Longleng informed that the team was led by Dr. Imnameren, Gynecologist, District Hospital; Dr. Renbonthung, ENT Specialist, District Hospital; and Dr. Zhakali Ayush, District Hospital; NSACS; ANMs; and Lab technicians.
The health camp provided free services including ANC, PNC, Diagnostic, Medicines and consumables, FP services, MCP card, Counseling services and lab examination.
Altogether 323 patients availed the free health services, ANC-98 and Copper T INSERT IGNOREions-11. The District Community mobiliser, District Media officer, Block Program Manager and ASHA coordinator held an interactive session with the pregnant mothers and gave counseling on the topic “Maternal Health, Family Planning, Child Health and Immunization.” IEC materials such as posters and leaflets in both English and local dialect was distributed.
