Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): The 4th foundation day celebration of the Dimabang Halali Hosom (Society) of Dimapur was observed on September 1 at Kachari Community Hall, Bamunpukhuri-I Village.
Speaking at the event, Bankim Phonglo, Area Manager FCI, Nagaland urged the society members to have self confident and pursue determinedly on the objectives for social upliftment. He said, “Dimasa community are rich in cultures and traditions and the rich and colorful attires are the examples of intellectual knowledge of the Dimasas, which needs to be conserved.” He also urged the Society to identify the talented youth of the community in different field and assist them in pursuing their career by contributing individually or groups in the form of scholarship.
It was stated in a press release that Jiten Maibangsa, President, Dimasa Khunang Hosom (Dimasa GB Union), Debojit Naben, President, Lairidim Mel, Thangnodao Naiding, Joint Sectary, Dimasa Public organization, Moromi Hojai, President, Dimasa Women Welfare Society and Ditush Naben, Dimasa Student Union also spoke on the occasion.
