DIMAPUR: 2nd phase training and postal ballot

Dimapur, February 14 (DIPR): DC & DEO, Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS, has informed that the 2nd Round of training for polling personnel drafted for election duty Dimapur district has been scheduled on February 16 and 17 at Dimapur College.

 

On February 16 training for Presiding Officers and 1st Polling Officers will start from 12 noon to 2:30 pm while, training for the 4th Polling Officers (VVPAT) will be from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

 

On February 17, training for Presiding Officers and 1st Polling Officers will start from 12 noon to 2:00 pm. There will be group familiarization on February afternoon from 2:00 pm for all the Polling Officers including grade IV staff.

 

DC & DEO, Dimapur has also informed that Postal Ballot will be issued on February 16 and 17 at the training venue to voters enrolled under Dimapur District. He has directed all polling personnel to attend the training without fail and cautioned that disciplinary action would be initiated against the absentees as per relevant sections of law.

 

ADC & RO for 3 Dimapur-III AC informs

ADC & RO for 3 Dimapur -III, Sara S. Jamir has in a notification informed of the constitution of a Standing-Sub Committee for operation of Model Code of conduct (MCC) for 3 Dimapur -III AC with ADC& RO, 3 Dimapur III as Chairman and members including ARO, 3 Dimapur –III, Representative of Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, representative of BJP/INC/NPF and representative of NDPP/NPP. A meeting of the Standing Sub-Committee has been fixed on February 14 at 1:00 pm at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall. All the members have been informed to attend the said meeting without fail.

 

ADC& RO for 3 Dimapur-III AC, Sara S. Jamir in a circular on February 10 has informed all candidates under 3 Dimapur-III Assembly Constituency that the following permits has to be taken from the Returning Officer: to hold meeting and use of loudspeaker; opening of temporary office; use of vehicle; to take out procession and use of loudspeaker; strict corner meeting and use of loudspeaker; and construction of Rostrum and Barricade.

 

Candidates or their agents are required to apply to the Returning Officer (RO) at least 48 hours prior to the proposed time of programme along with all required documents/NOCs etc. Candidates may also apply at http/www.ceonagaland.nic.in (survidha go section), Sara.S. Jamir further informed.
