Dimapur reviews LCDC micro plan

Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): As a follow up of Medical Officers’ Training on Leprosy Control & Detection Campaign (LCDC) held on August 17 and 18, a meeting to review the micro plan District Level LCDC was held at DTL&P (AYUSH) building, Dimapur on August 24. According to a press release, during the review meeting, Dr. Ahu Sekhose, SPO, NLEP stated that in spite of Nagaland being the first State in the country to achieve Leprosy Elimination Status in 1998, the prevalence rate in Dimapur District is still high. Accordingly, LCDC will be conducted in the district, he informed.  

Micro-plans prepared by Blocks’ representatives were reviewed. The LCDC Micro plans were prepared block wise for better coverage. Manpower and logistic requirements were reviewed and updated population as per head count at the grass root level, the release informed.  

The meeting was attended Dr. S. K. Dey, State Leprosy Consultant; Dr. C. Yanpo Kithan, ZLO Dimapur; Dr. Toshirenla, all block MO in-charge; Block Program Managers and ASHA Co-ordinators.
