Vocational Excellence Award conferred to six individuals
Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): Rotary Club of Dimapur held its 47th Installation ceremony on June 30 at Rotary Center, Midland Dimapur with Padamshree PDG Manas Choudhuri as the installation officer. Rtn Dr Nitin Agarwal and Rtn Er Manish Jain took over the charge from Rtn Vijay Sharma and Rtn Subir Saha as president and secretary respectively for the rotary year 2018-19.
The club informed in a press release that Vocational Excellence Award were handed to the following individuals: G Zukheli Sema - Best Nurse; Semendongo Kithan - Best Fireman; Sohanlal Ninisa - Best Power lineman; Ngochinyi Koza- Best traffic police (Male); Watisenla - Best traffic police (female); C H Narayan Rao- Best Town Cleaner (DMC).
The club also donated walker, distributed certificates of appreciation to the donors of Rotary flagship program of Scholarships and Heart to Heart project.
The club also inducted two new members Rtn Manoj Agarwal and Rtn Sumit Patni. Dr Nitin Agarwal in his acceptance speech reflected about the new Rotary theme ‘Be the inspiration.’ The outgoing Secretary gave a brief report on the projects undertaken by the club during the Rotary Year 2017-18. Installation Officer PDG Manas Choudhuri emphasised on the role of rotary in changing the life's of the needy.
The vote of thanks was conveyed by Rtn Payal Acharjee and the programme was followed by dinner.
