Disburse scholarship at the earliest: ANCSU

Dimapur, July 15 (MExN): Stating that student community is facing immense hardship due to delay in disbursal of scholarship, the ANCSU today appealed to the Director of Higher Education for its early release.

Seeking the director’s prompt and necessary action, the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) in a letter appended by President Zhoku Thuluo, General Secretary Benjong Longchar and Education Secretary Viranu Ltu said that the delay has adversely affected many students as they are dependent on the scholarship for their academic requirements.

“The cold delay in the disbursal of scholarship has created further confusion and discouragement to the students’ community as a whole,” it said. “This is unjust on the part of the government and the concerned department.”

In this context, ANCSU requested the director to take effective measures immediately and release all the scholarships at the earliest to avoid further “misunderstanding and inconveniences” between the students’ community and the concerned department as assured by Department of Higher Education on August 7, 2014.
