Phek, June 11 (MExN): District Health Society Phek has conducted District Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF) Coordination Committee meeting with the Allied Departments of Phek District and Block ASHA Coordinators Phek on June 11 at CMO conference hall Phek.
At the meeting, Dr. Kolhitso Khalo District Program Officer (DPO) RCH/UIP Phek highlighted the activities for IDCF which will be observed from June 12 to 24.
Dr.Khalo informed the participants that during the fortnight ASHAs (Accredited Social Health Activist) will pay home visit and distribute ORS and Zinc tablet to all children below 5 years of age.
During the fortnight from June 12 to 24 Anganwadi workers will also coordinate and assist the ASHAs.Its was also deliberated that during the IDCF ORS will be made available in all the PHCs (Primary Health Centre) free of cost as reported by District Media Officer Phek Kutolu Nakro.
At the meeting demonstration of ORS preparation was done by Azeno Mere District Community Mobilizer (DCM) Phek.
The programme was attended by DPO RCH/UIP Dr.Kolhitso Khalo,allied departments,DCM and Block ASHA coordinators of KIkruma,Chozuba,Meluri & Pfutsero.
