District level science seminar held at Kiphire

District level science seminar on the topics- Swachh Bharat and Role of science & technology promises and challenges was held at the Kiphire DPDB conference hall on August 12 which was inaugurated by the DEO, Deenabandhu Panda.  

Altogether 17 students participated in the competition where Langkholi and Summit of Saramati School and Niloli of Agape School were declared the winners, first runners up and the second runners up respectively.  

Speaking at the programme, the DEO said that the objective of the seminar is to create curiosity amongst the students and also to lead them creatively. He added that science has played a major role in human civilization and history and without science the world could not have reached the present stage. He asked the students to think more innovation so that it can help mankind towards progress.  

The DEO also urged the students present to make innovations with less money and less cost effective so that the small contribution can help society in big way. He cited the example of bamboo taps which people are using in occasions.  

The DEO also informed that the winners of the science seminar will represent the district in the state seminar which will be held in Wokha.  

The judges while giving away the prizes gave rectification and correction as to how a presentation should be done.
