Tuensang, August 11 (MExN): District level science seminar on the theme ‘Swachh Bharat: Role of Science and Technology, Promises & Challenges’ was held at GHSS Tuensang auditorium on August 11.
Ngamen Chang, JE PHED Tuensang, was the main resource person in the seminar, which was attended by five schools – GHSS Tuensang, GHSS Thangjam, Baptist Thangyen School, Akhum Imlong School and St. John’s Higher Secondary School.
The resource person deliberated on the Clean India Mission and importance of science and technology to accomplish its objective. He also commented on the challenges and promises of the Swachh Bharat Mission. He further mentioned the wide jurisdiction of the PHE Department and its support to the Clean India Mission. Ngamen encouraged the gathering to contribute to the Mission so that proper results can be achieved.
The speech competition held during the programme was judged by Yonga Langpong, Tretichem and Chempenthung. The first prize was bagged by St. John’s Hr. Secondary School and second position was won by Baptist Thangyen School.
