District Planning & Development Boards conduct monthly meetings

Dimapur, November 8 (DIPR): The District Planning & Development Boards (DPDBs) of Nagaland held their monthly meetings on November 6 and 7. In Dimapur, Longleng, Peren, and Tuensang, the meeting was held on November 6, while Mokokchung DPDB held its meeting on November 7.  

Dimapur: The Dimapur DPDB in the meeting approved registration of Millennium Welfare Society, Medziphema Town and Ijeki Welfare Society, Thilixu Village, while for Christian Higher Secondary School Mission Society, Dimapur, Dimapur Civil and Human Rights Protection Committee, and Global Mission Asia, Thilixu Village, the house decided to refer to the sub-committee.  

Opening of Holywood School, Nihoto Village, Kuhuboto sub-division; Green valley Academy, Razaphe Village, Dhansaripur sub-division; and Amazing School, Burma Camp was also referred to the sub-committee. The house kept in abeyance the proposal for up-gradation of Mother Mary School at Zeliangrong Village, Dimapur, while proposal for various other schools were approved.  

Meanwhile, the Board approved the change in nomenclature of Chakhro Baptist Mission School to Chakhroma Baptist Mission School, and also gave a green signal for recognition of Life Foundation School, Chümoukedima.  

Mokokchung: In Mokokchung, the DC & Vice Chairperson of the DPDB, Sushil Kumar Patel directed all the Heads of Offices to be in station saying with the State general election approaching, more exercises have to be completed within the time frame. He also asked them to attend the DPDB meeting regularly. The DC further reminded all the Heads of Offices to complete submission of employees’ list with detailed information of the employees.  

Patel reminded all the members to submit detailed information/documents about departmental purchased land or allocated by the government for preparing and issue of land Patta. Meanwhile, NIC, DIO Er. Temsuwati informed all the Head of Offices to submit employees’ list along with their Aadhaar and contact numbers. The meeting approved an application for registration of Tuli Area Coal Mining Association.  

Longleng: Various agendas, including registration of Forest Development Agency (FDA), Longleng Division, were discussed at the Longleng meeting, which was chaired by SDO (Civil) B Robin.  

DFO Longleng, Beizo Suokhrie apprised the board that registration of the FDA is essential to enable the Department to implement SFDA projects and schemes under the National Afforestation Programme and Climate Change. The SFDA projects and schemes, he stated, cannot be implemented without the FDA registration. The board recommended for registration of the FDA, Longleng Division under the Registration Society Act, 1860.  

On the proposal for renovation of roads from Longleng to St. Joseph School, Longleng, the chairperson urged the PWD (R&B) for renovation of the same. SDO, PWD (R&B) informed that proposal for renovation of roads from Longleng to Tuensang under NEC has been sent, and the stretch of road from the school to Longleng will be renovated when the proposed project is approved and implemented.  

Meanwhile, the Vice Principal of Yingli College, Henshet informed that the college silver jubilee will be held on December 6 and extended invitation to the Board members.  

Peren: Chairperson of Peren DPDB and Parliamentary Secretary Namri Nchang, who addressed the meeting in Peren, stated, “Our absence should not affect our service for the people.” He impressed upon the Heads of Offices to take entrusted assignments on priority basis, and address public grievances. We are all here for the people, he added. Apprising the Board of the conditions of roads in the district, he expressed hope that necessary actions will be initiated at the earliest.  

The Board constituted and approved Verification Committee for LADP 2017-2018. The house also deliberated on posting of District Transport Officer, and the establishment of Legal Metrology Department in the District HQ at the earliest. In this regard, the house decided to forward to the higher authority for further necessary action.  

On the inauguration of Judicial Magistrate office, Peren on November 11 where Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court will be the chief guest, the DC informed all Heads of Offices to positively attend the same.  

Tuensang: The Tuensang DPDB meeting began with discussion on preparation of the District Vision, 2022, which was received from the Planning and Coordination Department, Government of Nagaland. The Board decided to dispatch the circular departmental wise for speedy result.  

The proposal for changing the name of Wansoi village to Wonthoi Village was forwarded to the higher authority. Technical Feasibility Report of Yimchunger Tribal Village for the permanent attachment of the departmental employees of the three affected villages, namely Pungrungru, Huhdanger and Thsuthu villages, to MO, CHC, Shamator in Tuensang district from CMO, Kiphire was also discussed. In this, the meeting decided to forward it to DPDB, Kiphire for further action.  

The house also forwarded to the government renewal of registration for Network of Tuensang District People Living with HIV/AIDS, Women Welfare Society, Tuensang Town, and Chang SAO Thangjam Setshang.
