Wokha, August 14 (MExN): District Legal Services Authority, Wokha conducted orientation training to 21 Para legal Volunteers (PLVs) on August 13-14 at DC Conference Hall Wokha.


Nino Iralu, District & Sessions Judge Cum Chairperson DLSA, Wokha delivering key note address asked the Para Legal Volunteers to work in close tandem with the legal services institution and the Government Departments, in ameliorating the lot of poor and disadvantaged sections of the society. 


Mhathung Tsanglao, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Wokha in his keynote address encouraged the Para legal Volunteers to work as ambassadors of peace in the society, working in direction to empower the weak, underprivileged and marginalized sections of the society.


Trainers Khrievono Seletsu, Judicial Magistrate, First Class cum Secretary WDLSA, Limhathung Ezung Legal Aid Counsel, Sunjib Rana, Retainer lawyer, KDLSA and Meribemo Lotha, Retainer lawyer WDLSA and Shanchobeni P Lotha, Project Asst. WDLSA and Wobenthung Patton, Superintendent Observation Home imparted training as resource person to the Para legal Volunteer and made them aware of the Role and working of Para Legals to provide legal services and awareness to the masses with Juvenile Justice System, NALSA Schemes, Women & Law, Legal Services Authority Act 1987, benefits of Lok Adalats and implementation of various government schemes.
