Resolves not to provide services for colonies not paying Residential Sanitary Tax
Dimapur, July 12 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) held a meeting with Colony Council and GBs on July 12 at Town hall, Dimapur and also held a review meeting with GBs for door to door collection of waste under DMC jurisdiction.
During the meeting, various deliberations were made. According to a press release issued by Moa Sangtam Administrator, DMC, it was resolved during the meeting that no services will be provided by DMC to those colonies not paying the Residential Sanitary Tax (RST).
“Those colonies that have submitted the RST only for the year 2017 are to submit the same by the end of July 2018,” it further informed through the deliberation met. Service will be discontinued in the event of failure to submit this.
During the meeting it said that for appointment of GBs or any other official records, the total number of household in a colony will be as per the list of RST submitted by the respective colonies to the DMC.
The Administrator, DMC further informed the house to report directly to him in case of any negligence on the part of the DMC sanitation staffs in the execution of the prescribed duties in connection with door to door collection of waste.
