On Gandhi Jayanti, as the nation observed 3rd anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission, the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) organized a cleanliness in the town by roping in civil society organizations and schools which were divided into various groups and headed to different directions from Clock Tower Junction.
The various groups carried out cleanliness drive from Clock Tower to: Tragopan Point, MH Hospital, Plaza Point, Deluxe point and another group from Durga Mandir to Doll’s Cafe.
DMC Administrator, Moa Sangtam and other social leaders oversaw the cleanliness drive from 6 am on Monday. Some of the NGOs that participated included, DCCI, Clean Dimapur Team, Dimapur Bongs, Bhojpuri Samaj, GBs and chairmen of various colonies, NCC cadets and a number of schools and colleges.
