Some of those who voted YES had this to say:

•    Yes. I mean they (in so far political representatives are concerned) continue to get elected or re-elected to power... don't they?

•    Interesting Question. Yes. If we really look into the reality, the fact of the matter is even if we do not like the leaders we end up voting for them and treating them as superior human beings. So yes, I should say we trust their money and we are confident that they are willing to spend lakhs of it when it comes to protecting their power and status.

•    Yes, because they know for money public can do anything they ask.

•    As long as they have money, Yes.

•    Yes… As long as they are loaded.

•    Yes, because they are responsible leaders for the future of Naga.

Some of those who voted NO had this to say:

•    No. Money only goes so far. They may win elections through money power, but they cannot buy trust and confidence through money. I hope they know that.

•    No. This is one of the most basic essential question is a democracy. But here in our state we make fun of it because it sounds so stupid since public trust does not exist at all. In fact it’s a shame on all of us.

•    No. The public trust is missing in Naga governance and leadership. We need a new generation of leaders. But this also means the public must elect new leaders.

•    No. It's all about money, by money & for money!

•    No. Simply because they lack vision.

•    No. They are Selfish searching for their own short term benefits rather than thinking for the poor and underprivileged Naga community.

•    No. It is because most of the so called leaders are too selfish about their chair, wealth and their near and dear ones. They (Politicians and Bureaucrats) hardly work for the welfare of the people in general. They are too busy building their own mansion in Dimapur, Kohima not only one but many each.

•    In reality it is a big NO. The Naga leaders do not enjoy the trust and confidence of the public. The public over the years have realized that the leaders are only interested in their own selfish interest and have not genuine concern for public welfare. The public know this very well and are just playing along with this charade. This game will continue until real honest and sincere leaders who have the heart for the people enter the fray.

•    No. If I were told to go to heaven with one of our political (whom we all elect), I would never say yes. Who know, I may be sold to the devil for development plans and packages that comes along the way! The politicians will never tell me where I am going; the bureaucrats will never disclose which the correct way is!

•    No. They have hardly kept their words

•    Certainly not mine. Today no capable people represent the society! Be it assembly or civil body! Our representatives today are all dishonest gamblers out to loot the society!?

•    No. Compromised.

•    No. Rampant extortion and NO development of the region despite huge funds pumped in by Govt. No future for next generation and youth

•    No. Every Naga leaders have a set of remarkable distinct leadership if one may say so however it is seen that the Welfare oriented approach is not projected in public. Promises made during elections are often left unattended in many areas.

•    No. The general public has time and again tried to revive their hopes for the leaders they have chosen n entrusted to lead the nagas to a higher podium of growth n development. But the Naga leaders have failed the people in representing the interest of the general public, in meeting the promises they have made to the people and backsliding from their true principle of honesty when they see money. Their actions as proof, has broken the trust of the nagas.

Some of those who voted OTHERS had this to say:

•    Others. We all know that the system in Nagaland is corrupted. So even for new entrants, we all know that unless they splash money and power its almost impossible for them to win. Both contestant and voters of Nagaland are corrupted and drowning in a faulty system. But, how wonderful it would be if some of the leaders would even do a fraction of what they are meant to do. It would change public perception of our leaders.

•    When there is no vision and no integrity such questions sound very stupid and naive.

•    What kind of leaders are you talking about? Political, NGOs, leaders are everywhere, you know!

•    Even this is political... Given a choice but can’t choose. Very Not Funny!

•    Some of them are fine but most of them are disgusting

•    As a public we trust and put our confidence in them but this politician misuse our trust and loot us in broad daylight. And as long as the politician buy the vote (Of Course Our Hard Earn Money!) they can enjoy our sold out public's trust and confident.
