Don Bosco College Kohima Student’s Forum oath-taking ceremony held

Kohima, September 2 (MExN): The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of Don Bosco College Kohima (DBCK) Student’s Forum 2018 was held at the college premises on September 1.  

The College stated in a press release that Khrietuo Pienyu, President KVSU graced the occasion as a special invitee. He was accompanied by his colleagues David, Petekhrienuo and Nitituo Mere. He administered the oath and joined Don Bosco College, Principal, Dr. Fr. P. Suresh in distributing sashes to the executive members of the DBCK Students’ Forum which the latter received with immense pride and diligence. Staff Incharge, Dr Aosunep introduced the ceremony and guided the student leaders in oath taking.  

The special invitee, Khrietuo in his speech congratulated the first batch of executives for coming forward to lead the college to new heights. He asked the leaders where you are looking to bring changes. He insisted them to priorities the concerns and take up a few for this academic year. He further encouraged them to network with other students’ bodies for better and speedy solution to problems.  

DBCK Students’ Forum General Secretary, John Thono in his address thanked the staff and management for providing apt platform to excel in leadership skills. He emphasized that DBCK Students’ Forum will help the students to explore their potentials and it will be committed to the cause of students. He added that the DBCK leaders will help in improving the quality of College Canteen and Library.  

Don Bosco College, Principal, Dr. Fr. P. Suresh in his welcome address congratulated and blessed the newly elected office bearers and said that they should uphold the values of the college and discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty with proper team work and leadership quality and also maintain harmonious relationship between students and teachers.  

The ceremony was enriched with prayer song by L Zuchobeni Kikon, special numbers by Angulie Imsong, and Amachon. The vote of thank was delivered by Evitsu K Tikhir. The programme was chaired by Tiabenla of 5th Semester Sociology. The programme was attended by staff and a large number of students.
