Dimapur, September 16 (MExN): Delhi Public School celebrated Hindi Pakhwada (fortnight) from September 1 to 14 with spectrums of activities. Students, teachers and other staff zealously took part in the fortnight long program. The whole school got into the mood of competitiveness and celebration as all the students took part in essay writing, debate, elocution, dramatics etc competitions.
The commemoration culminated on September 14 which is widely celebrated as Hindi Diwas with an inter school extempore speech competition wherein students from five schools of Dimapur took part and exhibited their skill, wit and humour in their speeches.
The day also witnessed a myriad cultural activities in the presence of the guest of honour Dr. Bharat Singh, Director, Hindi Shikshan Sansthan, Dimapur and the chief guest Hezato Sumi, Principal, Hindi Shikshan Santhan, Dimapur who also spoke on the occasion emphasizing the importance of Hindi in the present scenario.
The successful participants were given away prizes and certificates for their achievements in various competitions.
