DRHS Ex-Students Forum honours Swapneel Paul

Dimapur, May 4 (MExN): A felicitation programme in honour of Swapneel Paul, IAS, who secured 64th rank in all India UPSC Examination 2017, was held at the Conference Hall of Hotel Jalmahal, Dimapur on May 2.  

A press release stated here that the event was organized by Dimapur Railway High School (DRHS) Ex-Students Forum, Dimapur under the Chairmanship of BK Thadani. More than 40 members gathered for the programme which was graced by Rashida, General Manager, National Institute of Civil Service Examination as special guest.  

Swapneel who topped the UPSC Civil Services Exam spoke volume about the fact that with strong will, power and perseverance coupled with clear and cool mind and lofty aim, nothing is impossible in this world and one can undoubtedly climb the pinnacle of success sooner or later. To the students of Nagaland in general, he said, “What is needed is guidance and opportunity to the talented youths especially those belonging to economically weaker families or residing in the far-flung areas to display their talents and potential.”  

Swapneel said that his father, PB Paul, an Advocate at High Court is his role model and has always inspired and motivated him in achieving his goal and also added that without the proper care and guidance of his mother, Alpana Mitra Paul, it would not have been possible for him to be successful in every step of his life.  

Swapan Paul and Alpana Mitra Paul, parents of Swapneel also spoke during the function.  

Rashida, the special guest of the programme while congratulating Swapneel Paul for the tremendous achievement urged him to be the torch bearer of the Bengali Community of the state in the future and to help shape many civil service aspirants from the community.  

The convenor of the DRHS Ex-Students Forum , Anjali Roy and General Secretary of 65th Anniversary of DRHS cum Alumni meet 2017, Bishnu Bhattacharjee also congratulated him.
