DRHS former students mourn teacher’s death

Dimapur, April 10 (MExN): The Dimapur Railway High School (DRHS) Ex-Students Forum has expressed shock and grief at the demise of Arati Acharjee, the “renowned” former Hindi Teacher of DRHS on April 10 at her residence in Dimapur. She was 71.  

A condolence message from the Forum informed that Acharjee was the coordinator of Hindi Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti, Dimapur Branch (HQ Guwahati) till her last breath. “Thousands of students were benefited with her teaching in Nagaland and neighbouring area,” it said.  

The Forum further said the deceased has established one Hindi School at Lahorijan, Karbi Anglong for needy students. “She had been associated with various organisations and NGOs and had lots of contributions in the society. During her tenure as teacher and Administrator, she discharged her duties with utmost sincerity and commitment towards deprived sections of the society in general and students in particular,” it added.  

Anjali Roy, Convenor of DRHS Ex-Students Forum has extended condolence and prayed to the almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear the “irreparable loss,” the message stated.
