Dimapur, February 16 (MExN): In an effort to provide all logistic support to students appearing their examinations, the office of Dimapur Sumi Students Union (DSSU) will be providing free bus services at various designated points till the indefinite bandh is lifted. In a press statement DSSU president Tovika K Chishi and General Secretary Steve Chophy, pointed out that due to the total bandh the student’s community is facing untold hardship and problems to reach their exam centre due to transportation problems. They also stated that under the prevailing situation it is impossible for the students to have the “state of mind” and appear their exams peacefully as the students are constantly under fear psychosis upon reaching various check points and road blocks, as such, they appealed the volunteers and all right thinking citizens to let the students pass without causing any psychological harassment. Further, the Union appealed all schools and institution to inform the students of the bus service provided by the union. DSSU also called upon all the students irrespective of tribes and communities to avail the bus services at its various designated places and pick-up points.
