DVC responds to allegations of VDB fund misuse

Says matter is sub judice at Dimapur DC’s office

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 21 (MExN): The Diphupar Village Council (DVC) today issued a response to the statement made by the Diphupar Community Chairmen Forum (DCCF) and Fact Finding and Action Committee (FFAC) over alleged misappropriation of VDB funds.  A press release from the DVC Chairman, Ghuzui Shohe and Secretary, Asapu Thirah said that the DCCF and the FFAC is “trying to disinter an issue which was settled at the instance of the then Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur.”  It informed that the Extra Assistant Commissioner, Chumoukedima has forwarded the complaint submitted by the FFAC to the Dimapur DC. It further noted that the DVC has apprised the DC by submitting a letter related to the complaint. It added that the matter raised by the FFAC in their letter to the EAC Chumoukedima is now resting in the office of the DC, Dimapur, which the DVC considered as the “repository of the best wisdom in the matter of governance in the district.” The matter therefore stands sub-judice, the DVC added, and as such refrained for commenting more at this stage.
