DYRS Advisor meets Rathore, highlights infrastructural needs

Dimapur, July 11 (MExN): Advisor for Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Nagaland, Zale Neikha has apprised the Union Sports Minister about the ongoing centrally sponsorship scheme in the State and infrastructures needs of department.  

Neikha highlighted this when he called on the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore at his office residence in New Delhi on July 10.  

The Advisor also briefed on the Dr. T. Ao Centenary celebration and laying of foundation stone of Dr. T. Ao Regional Football Academy at Dimapur for which the funding was sanctioned from NEC, a press release informed.  

He has also stressed upon the need for exposure programmes so as to keep in pace with the rest of the world, it said.  

The Union Minister reportedly assured to take up the infrastructure needs and see that that the sanction is done at the earliest in the interest of Naga youth, the release said adding, Rathore also wished the State on the ongoing Dr. T. Ao Centenary celebration and the upcoming Regional Football Academy.  

With regard to the exposure programmes, the Union Minister stated that the Prime Minister has made special mention and had issued directives for all the Legislators to go on exposure programmes which will benefit the country, it added.
