KBVSU 9th annual general conference held

The Kezo Basa Village Students’ Union (KBVSU) today held its 9th annual general conference 2017 at Kezo Basa under Kohima district.
Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, Angami Sports Association (ASA) General Secretary Er. Zale Neikha maintained that education plays a great role in shaping our future and professional career.
“The more knowledge we get, we grow and develop more and better in our life,” he said.
He asserted that being well educated never only means to earn certificate and good salary, “but we should be a good and sociable person in life.”
He also called upon the students to respect their elders and parents and at the same time asked them to maintain courtesy in the approach.
Er. Neikha urged upon the students to engage in social activities with positive attitude, and also build leadership quality.
Urging the students to identify their passion and strength, he said “Focus on what you want to do, and take steps to get where you want to be.”
He also asked the students to manage their time wisely and set a comprehensive routine so that they can complete the tasks effectively.
He urged upon the students to broaden their horizon and march ahead with the competitive world.
Stating that the youth need special attention to develop and shine,” Er. Neikha declared that he have decided “to sacrifice myself and my job for the youth and the upcoming generation.”
“I will help and support my people with every possible way I can do, so I request all of you to stand and support me for our better future,” he said.
Touching on KBVSU’s motto “Marching Forward,” he said “We will together march forward to achieve our goal.”
Kezo Basa village council chairman Divi Naki, Southern Angami Students’ Union (SASU) President Ketholeto Anthony Zashiimo and others also spoke at the conference.
The function was led by KBVSU advisor Kevineito Zecho while welcome address was delivered by KBVSU president Kevisii Thuphre.
The conference was also marked by felicitation of HSLC successful candidates, folk song etc. and concluded with vote of thanks proposed by KBVSU vice president Mhasikho Thami.
