Dimapur, May 23 (MExN): Dimapur police manning Chumukedima check-gates on May 22 apprehended four Inner Line Permit (ILP) defaulters, who were trying to cross without proper documents. A press release from PRO, Dimapur police identified the defaulters as Rajibul Haque, Kurpan Ali, Amirul Mulha, and Shashamal Ali, all from Nalunga Palartili (Assam). A case has been registered at Dimapur Police Station, the release said.
In a separate incident on May 22 around 2:30 am, GRPS duty personnel apprehended four persons from Dimapur railway station platform-III while they were trying to pick pocket passengers. The accused have been identified as Sadam Ali, Kuru Islam, Dildor Hussain, and the fourth one a minor. A case has been registered and further investigation is on, according to the press release.
On May 22, Dimapur Police around 4:30 pm conducted surprise checking and frisking of hotels located at Blue Hill Station area, Dimapur and arrested two persons, Unil Haque and Suraj Kumar Singh, both residents of Blue Hill Station area, for possessing sixty seven cases of various brands of IMFL. In this connection, a case has been registered vide Dimapur East PS and investigation is on.
Meanwhile, on May 21, Dimapur police conducted surprise checking and frisking at Midland Colony, Dimapur during which seventy six cases of various brands of IMFL were seized from Hotel Palace. The manager of the hotel identified as Kuldeep was arrested; a case was registered vide Dimapur West PS and investigation is on, according to PRO, Dimapur police.
