Tuensang, January 7 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) has appreciated the restraint shown by both the communities of Sangtam and Sumi of Sitimi area for maintaining peace and tranquillity.
In a press statement from its President S Khoiwang Konyak and Secretary, Amai Chingkhu, the ENPO conveyed to both the communities to try to solve the issue and “not let it escalate further to a tribal/communal issue.” The ENPO also appealed to the people of Kiphire in general and Sitimi area in particular to “refrain from spreading false rumour mongering and provocative messages through social media etc.”
Further the ENPO urged the Nagaland State Government to take up the matter on top priority and intervene at the earliest.
