Enrolment for Biometrics under KMC from June 27

Kohima, June 25 (DIPR): The National Population Register (NPR) scheme is being undertaken as per the provisions of the Citizens Rules of 2003 (Registration of Citizens and issue of Identity Cards) for which data collections have been completed and enrolment for Biometrics will start for residents of WARD-0001 (HIGH SCHOOL) under Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Kohima, from June 27 to 29 at 7:00 AM and of Botsa Village under Chiephobozou Sub – Division from 28th June 2011.
During the Biometric Camps, Photographs, Iris Images and Fingerprints will be collected for ages 5 (five) years and above. In addition, residents may furnish information on their Driving License Card, PAN Card and Passport Number, if available.  According to the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Bei-u Angami, the list of ‘Usual Residents’ will thereafter be compiled and displayed in the respective Village/Ward for the residents to check and verify its correctness. They may be alert to check any errors and file your claims and objection, if any, with the Local Registrar.  All residents have also been requested to bring along the NPR Acknowledgement Slips issued during the 1st phase of Census 2011 and NPR exercise conducted during June – July 2010.
