Entrepreneurship Club’s ‘Skill Development Programme’ held in KROS College Kohima

Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): The Entrepreneurship Club, Kros College Kohima organised a skill development program under the theme, “Learning from Doing” on August 5.

With the objective to foster creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial culture in the College, the club was started by a group of students with lecturer as the in-charge.  

According to a press note received here, the August 5 event consists of two thematic sessions - Sweet Tooth and Fungi culture.  

In the first session, students were taught on making egg Caramel, Choux Pastry and chocolate using the materials available at home, it said.  

In Fungi culture, after the demonstration of the cultivation of mushroom, students from different departments undertook the cultivation with the resources allotted to them, it added.  

The resource persons were Mimi Suohu, Chaplain, KROS College; Vidilhou Suohu, Administrator, KROS College; and Watichila Imchen and Metevitso Khazo, both Asst Prof in Department of Sociology.  

The two programs are among the few academic activities that engage students in teamwork and allow students to clearly understand that success requires a focus on outcomes, not on putting in class time, the press note further informed.  

“The Club believes that by providing knowledge, tools and network to highly motivated individuals it can significantly improve the success rate of new entrepreneurial projects,” it added.
