Er. Mhasilhusie Nagi today emerged as the champion of the 56th wrestling meet of the Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO) held here at Kohima Local Ground.


Son of Neisako Nagi from Jotsoma village, 27 years old Er Mhasilhusie Nagi pocketed a cash prize of Rs. 80,000.


34 years Zasevikho Meyatsu, son of Methalhouvi Meyatsu from Mezoma village stood runner up and received a cash prize of Rs. 60,000.


26 years Kevizhakho Suokhrie, son of Vilakolie Suokhrie of Jotsoma stood third position and bagged Rs. 40,000.


Fourth position Megosier Khate (35), son of Vizotuonyii Khate from Khonoma village was awarded with Rs. 30,000.


In the junior category, Vilhusielie Kehie of Mezoma village, Kedovozo Nakhro of Jotsoma village, Kekhrievilhou Sirie of Mezoma and Rokosevi Khate of Khonoma  bagged 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions and were awarded with Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000, Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 respectively.


Earlier, MLA Keneizhakho Nakhro and Kevisekho Chucha, president Western Angami Public Organization graced the meet as special guest and guest of honour respectively.
