NPF intending candidate for 32 Atoizu Assembly Constituency, Er. Picto Shohe on Saturday declared his candidature to contest the forthcoming state assembly elections slated for February 27.

Addressing a gathering at Atoizu local ground, Er. Picto expressed “deep concern for the people of the area not simply in name” but from his “heart and mind.” He reminded the people about his commitment for development to the area and added that accordingly developments in various fields have been realized.

“People elect their representatives for development and the elected leaders should work in tune with the needs of the people,” he added.

The former Parliamentary Secretary said that elected legislators were servants of the public and not the other way round.

“As a human being, no candidate can please every individual but when development is brought about then it is pleasing everybody,” he said and appealed the people to support him during the forthcoming polls to enable him to work in a better way for them.

“As an independent candidate I was able to bring progress and development to the area and I can work better if I enter the government as a ruling party,” he maintained.

Er. Picto highlighted about the achievements in the area which he initiated during 2013-17 in the field of roads & bridges, tourism, PHED, veterinary, rural development, health & family welfare and other newly established and upgraded offices.   NPF Working President, Huskha Yepthomi, who also exhorted the gathering, exuded confidence that the party would come back to power with a thumping majority and form the government.

“Therefore, I appeal the people to vote in favour of NPF candidate, Er. Picto and all other NPF candidates for progress and development of the state,” he added.

A host of NPF leaders, GB and elders of Atoizu area addressed the gathering and appealed the voters to extend their support to Er. Picto.
