ESSU 39th annual conference underway

Dimapur, January 5 (MExN): The Eastern Sumi Students Union (ESSU) 39th annual conference inaugural session was held at Khetoi village, Aghunato on January 4, with MP Lok Sabha Nagaland Tokheho Yepthomi as the guest.


A press note stated that in his message, the MP urged the students to look beyond government service for employment. He highlighted the ramifications of excessive government employees on the economic health of the state. Instead, he urged the students to be entrepreneurs and be independent of government dependency. Emphasizing on the dignity of labor, he stressed that vocational jobs are one the best solutions for our weak economy. He urged students to have a clear mindset as to what they wanted to pursue after completing their education and not to burden parents with finding employment for them.


The ESSU conference held over a period of three-day will conclude on January 6.
