Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): The District Excise, Dimapur seized 165 bottles of assorted Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) on February 9 from three separate locations of Dimapur Town. The liquor was seized by Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) duty patrol which was set up to check liquor inflow during the ensuing State assembly election period. A press release from T Arilong Longkumer, Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition, Dimapur informed that three persons were arrested and penalized under the relevant section of NLTP Act 1989. The District Excise authority has appealed to the general public to report on any illegal liquor activity and sought further cooperation from the masses to ensure the success of the election process.
