FGN mourns Nakro’s demise

Dimapur, December 9 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has expressed its sadness over the untimely demise of Swuduve Nakro of M Khomi village of Chakhesang Region on December 8.


A condolence note from Ministry of Rali Wali Affairs, FGN informed that Late Nakro joined the Naga National Movement on March 23, 1993 and was first appointed as Leacy Executive of Chakhesang Region from 1993-2009.


After serving as a Midan Peyu from 2010-2012, he was elected as Tatar in 2013, it said. 


Late Nakro was inducted as Deputy Kilonser on February 13, 2019 and later elevated to  Kilonser on November 13, it added. 


“He left behind an indelible print of unwavering commitment and sacrifice to the Naga Nation,” the FGN said in the condolence note.  


“May his family continue to live the legacy of Late Nakro and God’s blessings and solace are upon the bereaved family members and relatives during this difficult hour of pain and sorrow,” it added.
