Transaction to be done on non-transaction days in March
Kohima, March 5 (MExN): Finance Secretary, Government of Nagaland, has informed that the following non-transaction Wednesdays – March 9, 16, 23, and 30, 2016 and non-transaction Saturday – March 19, 2016 have been declared as transaction days both in Treasuries and Banks in all districts.
In an office memorandum, the Secretary, Y Kikheto Sema, further informed that the non-transaction Saturdays – March 12 and 26, which have been declared as working Saturdays for Government employees in Kohima by the Home Department vide Notification No.GAB/GEN/21/2010 dated 29th February 2016 (flagged "X') shall also be declared as transaction days for Treasuries and Banks in Kohima.
All departments have been requested to ensure that proposals for issue of DA/DL are submitted to the Finance Department on or before March 21, 2016 (Monday) except for those proposals under CSS, NEC, NLCPR, etc, which may be sanctioned and credited to the State account only at the fag end of the financial year. Departments may also ensure that all requisite details for issue of DA/DL are furnished along with their proposals for facilitating Finance Department to examine and dispose the matters without delay, the memorandum said.
All departments are to ensure that the DA/DL issued by Finance Department are presented to and passed by the Treasuries on or before March 29, 2016 (Tuesday). The Finance Secretary categorically mentioned that no claim for cash payment will be entertained in the Treasuries after March 29, 2016, except on the strength of DA/DL issued by the Finance Department.
