Fire awareness campaign at Agape School

The Department of Fire Service, Kiphire organised a fire awareness campaign at Agape School with teachers, students and staffs on June 14.
Kevi, OC, Fire Department briefing the students on the objectives of the awareness said, “It is better to prevent than to fight the fire. Therefore, one should know dos and don’ts of fire safety.”


The OC called upon the students to help friends and neighbors to know the awareness of fire safety. He also said that all institution and establishments should have fire safety team compromising of teachers, students and staffs.


Martin, ASI, Fire Department informed that due to fire accidents nearly 60 people die in the country and asked the students not to panic but stay calm and take adequate measures from fire accident if any. He also shared on the procedure of fire safety and shared on the types of fire. Martin also stated that fire can be helpful as well as can be disaster if we do not know how to handle.


The Fire Department also displayed the various fire extinguishers used in case of fire emergency.


The administrator of the school welcomed and thanked the department for conducting the awareness campaign in the school.
