First mobile app for farmers launched in Nagaland

Kohima, November 16 (MExN): As part of Mobile App Initiatives, Department of Agriculture in collaboration with Nagaland State e-Governance Society (NSeGS) and State e-Mission Team (SeMT) has developed an app ‘Nagaland Local Plants’ which will provide information on local plants of Nagaland, India.  

The department of Agriculture launched the mobile app along with its official website on November 15 in the presence of officers from the department of Agriculture and Department of Information technology & Communication, Nagaland.  

Both the website and mobile apps was launch by Tongtiliba, Director of Information & Communication, the Director of IT&C during his Launching Speech said he congratulated the department of Agriculture for being the first department in the state to launch mobile apps for the farmers and for leading the state in the usage of Information Technology.  

The programme was chaired by Helie Rupreo, Director of Agriculture, Nagaland where he briefed the huge gathering and said that both the website and Mobile Apps developed is hosted at the State Data Centre which can be accessed through the link agriculture.nagaland.gov.in  

This mobile app can be downloaded from the google play store by searching for “Nagaland local plants.” It is available for downloaded from the department’s newly developed website in the download drop-down from android mobile phones. The Department of IT&C gave a demonstration on the software developed.
